인텔 기가비트 랜카드를 쓰는 이유는 기본적인 성능도 좋지만 다양한OS지원, 끝임없는 사후지원이 좋은 드라이버에 있다.

리얼텍이나 브로드컴내장랜에서 지원못하는 각종기능들을 편리하게 이용가능하다.

Note If you upgrade your operating system, you must reinstall your network drivers. Settings are not saved across an OS install or upgrade.
Note Intel® Ethernet 10 Gigabit Server Adapter drivers are included as part of Windows 7* and Windows Server 2008 R2*. The drivers included with Windows* do not support Intel® PROSet or Intel® Advanced Networking Services (Intel® ANS). Full support will be added in a future release.
Note Microsoft Windows 2000* is not supported. Use version 14.0 or earlier for Windows 2000.

Note Express Teaming was removed in version 12.2. This feature is no longer supported by Intel. Teaming is supported using advanced network services (ANS).

8.4 Added the following features

  • The Intel® PRO/1000 MT Quad Port Server Adapter no longer has a separate INF or separate software downloads. It is now included in the standard PRO adapter driver set.
  • An improved Makedisk utility to create base driver installation disks
  • The IDAdapt DOS utility now returns the silicon stepping.
  • The Windows* INF for the 10/100 adapters has been split into two separate INF's; one for Windows certified 10/100 adapters, and one for obsolete 10/100 adapters that cannot meet current certification requirements. See article CS-010579 for details.
